come, let us dance like pirates

come, let us dance like pirates
across our private sea
just you and me
dear heart if just
for a brief eternity

come, lets us learn to sing
and if we sound like sand
we'll gently stop
each other's mouth
with slow and gracefull hands

but let's count not,
nor name or sigh & brook
no amber dreaming
nor feeling green
though we be peg-legged
one eyed, star struck
or down on our longing luck.

come, let our hands be wings
thumbless, never holding
we'll dance on water
and bury our treasure
and laugh at our unfolding
